About the Event
We are teaming up with the SoCal Tough Mudder in Lake Elsinore to help out as medical volunteers while these athletes push themselves to limits in this tough obstacle race!
Students will be partnered with medical staff and will be handling basic patient care duties, assessments, banding and wound cleaning, vital checks, basic immobilization and stabilization. There is always of course the chance of having to perform CPR and other trauma related tasks if needed. All team members will be expected to not hesitate if needed to remove a patient from mud or other dirty obstacles. So be prepared to get a little muddy if needed!
You can expect a fast paced, high energy, great learning environment and a lot of hands-on experience!
